Who are we?

KIXFF is run by a small group of expat filmmakers and Seoul Players, a non-profit theatre company producing shows in Korea since 2001. Expat film making in Seoul has made inroads to the Korean market, working in local and international television and film productions as well as producing music videos and commercials.

What people say

  • “I've been to many festivals big and small, but even in their first year KIXFF blew them all away. Not only did they exhibit and value my work, but every member took us around Seoul and made us feel very much at home.”

Christopher Bell Filmmaker, USA / KIXFF 2015 Best International No Budget Feature Film
  • “It was an inspiring experience to screen my first feature film, DIVE at KIXFF 2015. It gave new perspectives on my work that I had not seen anywhere else where the film has been screened. For me personally to attend the festival was a great experience and I met a lot of different filmmakers that I still am in touch with today.”
